53-56 Tailgate Kit – Smooth w/ Bear Claw Latches & Supports

Description

This is perhaps the nicest smooth tailgate out there. It is built like the original tailgate without the letters or vertical stamping in the field area. Comes with bear claw style latches, hidden support arms and all installation hardware. Support arms hide between the tailgate and the bed side when the gate is up. Tailgate is ready to bolt on latches, pins and support arms. A template is provided to aid support pin placement. The release knobs are small and sit inside the bed. Push each of them and the bear claw latches release the gate. This is a simple system and one of the best we've seen! Fits 1953, 1954, 1955 and 1956 Ford F100 trucks.
