Description

This 1971 GMC has a Chevy hood, grill and front fenders. Has leaf springs in rear and disc brakes in front. A great combination for a restoration project. Has a 350 sbc from a 3/4 ton that was used as a camper. I don't know exactly what performance improvements it has. I have a receipt for a Summit rebuild kit showing It was overhauled in 05. I can see aluminum roller rockers in the oil filler cap hole. Has a Weiand aluminum manifold with a Edelbrock 4 barrel. Exhaust manifolds off an old Corvette and HEI distributor. It starts first crank and runs very strong. Sounds "Tuff" with Flowmasters dual exhaust and all new pipe. It has a Turbo 350 tranny that was built with performance parts but is leaking a bit. It shifts crisp and solid. Gets second gear scratch if you get on it a bit. The body needs work, has rust in the places commonly found on these trucks. Overall It's a solid piece of Detroit Steel, not a metric nut or bolt on it. It's a piece of history that worthy of restoration. I had to quit after I had neck Surgery. This one has a lot life in it
