Description
This frame off build on this South Carolina 55 is just a little over 2 years old with less than 500 trouble free miles since completion. During the build, a freshly rebuilt 350 CI motor was installed over a camaro front clip with disc brakes. That gives this 55 the right handling and stopping power that you would expect. Also, it greatly enhances the ride comfort over the stock front end. The transmission is a 350 turbo automatic that was rebuilt as well. It is hooked to a 10 bolt rear end assembly. A new aluminum fuel tank was installed with all new fuel and brakes lines too. Of course, all suspension parts were either rebuilt or replaced as well.
Now that the frame and suspension are in better than new condition, it was off to the body shop. This 55 didn’t have to spend a lot of time there because the body was in exceptional condition. After paint work was completed, all new tinted glass and seals were installed. The interior was finished out in a very eye appealing read. The color combination of the white exterior and the red interior with the wide whites, looks amazing, gets attention and thumbs up wherever you have the pleasure of driving it.
