Description

Custom Truck lovers take notice. This awesome 1955 GMC First series Pick Up offered by Blad Boys Muscle Cars is a site to behold. Whenever we get vehicles in that are this detailed, the guys get "giddy" and excited. This is for good reason when it comes to this masterpiece. It always helps to start with a good, clean foundation when building a ride and this is the case with this Arizona Truck. The build started with the truck being completely disassembled, media blasted and all the minor problems professionally repaired. A Bitchin firewall was installed to start and many alterations made during the body work. The cowl vent was welded and filled, doors shaved to start. Bearclaw latches were added to the B pillars. The hood seam was welded and filled, bed corners were all welded, rounded and smoothed while also adding hidden Billet latches on the tail gate. A rear roll pan was added and the headlights were frenched using the popular kit by Hagen. The gas filler was welded and filled and the new fuel tank was installed in the rear between the frame rails. Before the body was reinstalled, the frame was also media blasted and painted with PPG Gun Metal Gray to make the underneath look as good as the outer shell. The body work is stunning and the 3 stage House of Color Burple,"that's right" Burple, a mixture of blue and purple was applied at a very high quality and really makes the frost silver ghost flames stand out. Let's get to the hear and soul of this truck. A freshly built 454 bored to 468 cubic inches adds a sense of bravado to the ride. Heavy duty rods and forged pistons were installed with over port heads machined to fit the Weiand Hi Rist Intake. A nasty cam with roller rockers and a Edelbrock 750 carb were installed to finish off the power plant. Other accessories installed include MSD ignition, coated long tube headers, complete flowmaster dual exhaust, and a new 4 core radiator goes along with the package. The transmission consists of a 400th with shift kit and a 2800 Stall converter. The differential is a 9 inch Ford Posi with a 330 gear and big drum brakes. The suspension is also upgraded with a Camaro sub frame, Fatmans's tubular control arms, power front disc brakes and power steering. The interior is also beautiful and detailed. The entire cab had Dynamat installed throughout before installation. The dash is painted PPG Gunmetal Gray and looks very slick. All the glass, rubber seals, and wiring was replaced using a Painless wiring kit. A Newport 3 speed electric wiper was installed while also having after market power windows. The dash gauges are Stewart Warner Winged gauges. The Lokar tall curved floor shifter tops off the interior accessories and Rod Door Panels adds to the Dove Gray and Charcoal paint that covers the rest of the interior. This is a Truck that demands attention and is not for the faint of heart. If you want a truck to cruise in that will put others to shame, this is the one for you. Give us a call today and get in a truck for half the price that it took to build.
