Description

See me at the Cincinnati Cavalcade of Customs Auto Show Jan 7-9, 2011!!! Virtually everything on this recently completed all-Ford frame off restoration is brand new. Contact me with any specific question that you may have. Here are the highlights: This '55 F-100 has a fresh Metallic Teal base coat/clear coat exterior that has never seen rain. Tan interior/carpet/headliner with teal trim & bench seat piping make for a beautifully unique color combination. New tinted glass & seals all around. New chrome Ididit tilt steering column is topped by a tan leather banjo steering wheel. All gauges are new Dolphins & the Vintage Air will freeze your butt off in Kentucky on the 4th of July! Power steering & power front disc brakes make this a comfortable driver. Powerplant is a stock 302 HO Ford V-8 engine with a Holley 4 bbl carb fed by a Lokar gas pedal & linkage. Factory headers connected to a new 2 1/2" exhaust system give it just the right rumble. Dynamat throughout the cab & doors keep things quiet in the cab. A Ford AOD (automatic overdrive) 4 speed transmission with a Gennie floor shift transfer the 302 HO power to a Ford 9" rear end that spins new 235/60R17 directional tires on new REV Torq Thrust style wheels. Suspension up front is the popular Volare disc brake/torsion bar conversion. The stance is adjustable by way of the torsion bars. Right now it has the 'just low enough to look cool but not worry about scraping the pavement' look. In the rear are new leaf springs & shocks. All brake hardware & lines are brand new (see picture). New battery with cutoff switch….shoot…every piece of wire in the truck is new! The bed is stained oak & sealed tighter than a Chris Craft with multiple coats of polyurethane, top & bottom. Bumpers, chains, license frame, wipers & bed/fender bolts are stainless. Up front are Halogen headlights to keep you on the road in the darkest of night, & bright LED tail lights keep unwanted tailgaters from climbing into the truck bed. The bed/gate, running boards & doors are brand new steel. Please look carefully at the pictures & you can see what has been put into this truck, on top, inside & underneath. You could not build one for my asking price. If you've been looking for as nice a driver as can be imagined, this is the truck for you. Show it if you like, but it wants (and deserves) to be driven! This truck is being listed locally, so the seller reserves the right to end this sale at any time. Feel free to E-mail questions. Sorry, no trades - I'm outta garage space. Thanks!!!
