Description
This truck has an interesting history. It was shipped from the Dodge factory to the Texaco Oil Company in Bakersfield California where it spent its working life as an oil field heavy duty pickup truck. I am sure it had plenty of hard use but it was NEVER subjected to the problems of back east winter so the truck has never experienced RUST. During the year long restoration process all the dings and dents caused by its work life were carefully hammered out so there is virtually NO filler anywhere on the truck. The engine was rebuilt and runs well. Mostly we use the truck for parades and local shows however we recently drove the truck to Solvang and back (180 mile trip) and everything worked great.
